Update 1-25-2012

Hi all, just wanted to give an update on how all of the clients have been doing at Power, we have a lot of people making great progress, attaining their goals, and making new ones!  About a week and a half ago we had a team run a race through the desert “The Tough Mudder;” our team of 9 did an outstanding job!!  This was not your ordinary race, not only was it 12.5 miles, but the team had to negotiate through 29 different obstacles!  The obstacles ranged from a freezing cold ice bath, to running up a wet and muddy quarter pipe, to climbing over huge walls, even having to run through live electrical wires!!!  Crazy!!  Our team of 7 girls and 2 guys destroyed the course passing people who stated a full hour in front of them.  I can’t tell you how proud I am of all of the participants.  You can see a video of our team in action by copying and pasting the link at the bottom of this post.


I also wanted to share a little about the determination and drive I see from many of our clients.  On the last 2 Saturdays I have been in the Power, training clients I have seen a bunch of our clients coming in and working out on their own!!!  In the words of our fearless Power Basketball Head Coach Sundance Wicks: “We get better on your day off!”  Keep working hard everybody, I can’t tell you how inspired I am when I see people taking the initiative to come in without an appointment and put in some work on their own.  That is why we will continue to hit and surpass all of our goals!


Lastly I will be posting our first recipe of the week on Monday.  It is a great crock-pot whole chicken recipe that you can eat right out of the crockpot or use the chicken in other recipes to be featured here as well.  It is an easy and inexpensive meal that anyone can prepare.
